Over my 26-year career in education, I've held diverse roles including 5th Grade Classroom Teacher, Literacy and Math Specialist, Interventionist, and Teacher Coach. My wealth of experience, coupled with extensive training in research-based interventions, enables me to pinpoint specific areas of need and closely track progress, ensuring efficient support for students in reaching their goals. I am well-versed in various curriculums and grade-level expectations and provide comprehensive guidance across all subjects.

As an Orton-Gillingham tutor, I specialize in implementing a multi-sensory and systematic approach designed to cater to diverse learning styles, particularly benefiting students with dyslexia. My tutoring sessions are highly personalized. I create individualized learning plans by integrating materials from various interventions, aiming to bridge educational gaps effectively. I am dedicated to meeting students at their unique academic levels and creating a supportive environment that fosters confidence and success. My structured tutoring sessions aim to equip all students, including those with dyslexia, with the skills needed to navigate and overcome literacy challenges.

I offer flexible, individualized instruction both in person and online to meet each student’s unique needs. In Annapolis, I meet students at their schools during the day or in my Eastport tutoring space after school, and I’m happy to meet in public spaces like libraries as well.

Online sessions are engaging and effective, using the Orton Gillingham approach along with other research-based methods. I also support a wide range of subjects beyond literacy, including math, content areas, and executive functioning skills.
